Before starting your assessment, make sure your room is free from distractions. Lighting should be sufficient and the environment should be silent. Distractions like cell phones, iPads, or a computer monitor can affect the system's ability to verify a student's identity. A student's desk must be clean and free from clutter, as the Honorlock system will flag any items blocking their face. Before starting your assessment, ensure that your desk is clear of clutter. Clear out any clutter in your room, including pens, before you start an assessment or class. Some instructors will provide instructions on taking a bathroom break prior to the assessment, so that students can do so if they feel necessary.

Privacy practices

Honorlock's Student Privacy statement outlines the procedures Honorlock takes to protect student privacy. You can read the statement here. The company also has a policy that requires its employees to have a "need to know" basis when handling student data. Although it may not be perfect the company is still a far cry of the practices used by online proctoring websites and universities. Honorlock is a wonderful choice for students. However this privacy statement only serves as a guide.

FAQ

How can I get started in eLearning?

It's a good idea to begin small if you don't know how to create online classes. Start small by creating a tutorial or quiz.

This will allow you to move on to more difficult projects once you have mastered it. If you're not familiar with HTML, then it would be better to start out by creating lessons using pre-built templates.

What should my course in eLearning look like?

Your eLearning course design should encourage learners to interact with the material.

This means that it is important to make the design easy to navigate and to clearly present the content.

It also means that the content needs to be interesting and engaging.

These requirements must be met in your eLearning course. Here are three things you should focus on:

Content

First, you must decide what content will be included in your eLearning courses. You must decide how long each section should be. To teach someone how you write letters, for example, you must decide how long each topic will take.

Navigation

You must also decide how your learners will navigate your course. Do you want them to click through every page one at a time? Or do you want them to jump directly to specific parts of the course?

Design

The last step is to decide the appearance of your course. This includes deciding how long each screen is going to take to load and how large the font size should be. It is also important to decide whether graphics (such as photos) will be included.

Once you have made all of these decisions, you need to test your course to see if it works well.

How do I pick the best eLearning platform for me?

There are thousands of eLearning sites available. Some are free while others are more costly.

It is important to ask yourself questions before you make a decision about which option is best for you.

  • Do you want to make your own learning materials. You can create your own eLearning courses with a variety of free tools. These include Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Lectora, iSpring Suite, and Camtasia.
  • Do I want to purchase ready-made eLearning courses? Many companies offer pre-packaged courses. These courses cost between $20 and $100. Mindjet, Edusoft, or Thinkful are some of the most popular.
  • Do I want a combination of both? Many people find that they get the best results by combining their own materials with those provided by a company.
  • Which option is right? It all depends on your circumstances. If you are new to eLearning, then you may want to start out by creating your own materials. However, once you have gained experience, you may want to consider purchasing a pre-designed course.

Is eLearning efficient?

E-learning is an effective tool for delivering learning content from anywhere at any time. It allows learners to access information anywhere, anytime.

You can also deliver training programs online without having to travel or rent classroom space.

Where can eLearning be used?

E-Learning is an effective way for people who cannot attend face-to-face classes to learn at their own pace. It can be used to teach another person how to do something.

E-Learning is also very popular with businesses because they can use it in their training programs.

E-Learning is becoming more popular in schools due to its time and money saving.
